Oh you might be right. If the battle continues because the planes are still present, then I can retreat but if the battle is over I can’t.
Actually doesn’t seem clear. Might ask for a ruling.

Krieghund has just pointed out in the above quoted thread that there has been an additional clarification in the very latest version of the rulebook, that was not brought to our attention before. As a consequence a retreat is not possible in the given situation.
Seems like we have to donwload the latest version of the rulebooks. :wink: -

Besides the sub retreat thing I have something else to speak.
Germany scored only 1 hit in the first round, and UK should scvore 3 on average. It was logical U keep my bat alive, and it was not fair play that u removed my destroyer, since U would, and any solid player would remove the French fighter in this situation.
I plead U to accept this change, and change fighter for battleship.
If U do not want, I can do anything about it, since technically U did not broke any rule, or cheated, simply broke the rules of fair play ( if U insist on it even after this message of mine).
I will have no hard feelings if U insist, I just simply can not promise U that I will have the same moral obligation to help U in the same situation when the sides will be switched. (which I usually normally do by default).
Battleship can mean much, and I have sacrificed much to save it, but I can win without it, or loose, nevermind, I am not trying to ˝fight˝ , simply looking for fair play, which is for me the basis of playin.
I ll wait for Ur response and then proceed with my move.

Well, it’s in the rules of the league that assumptions can be challenged.
Let’s assume that it went otherwise the same so you have to lose the DD on the second round. You can edit back the damaged BB and remove the French fighter.
