Question about combat/non-combat moves

once again you have answered my rules questions within a day of posting them.  you are awesome!

Yeah, we are playing the new version with destroyers and guns. I’ve never played the game before last month. I came at him with a sub a destroyer and a battleship. He had a destroyer, two transports and a battleship. Luck of the dice and his desire to save his battleship ended his chances of getting anything off of Japan for a time.

As for using Spain to take Gibralter, I much rather use the transport instead. Remember, all units must stop after taking an Neutral. There’s no blitzing.

In 2nd it must be in the same seazone.

Sorry, but no dice. Besides, chess is so much different from A&A. At least in chess, the moves are preprogrammed and don’t have to worry about supply lines!

The whole axis and allies game is all about chance calculation and strategy, so I think computerplayers should be better than humans if the right strategy is implanted.

Just IMO,

Bad Play = US goes into the Pacific
Bad Play = Germany overextends itself (Early Karelia attack)
Bad Play = Britain overextrends itself (ICs in both SA and India)
Bad Play = Russia not prepared for the Japaneese
Bad Play = Japan Not performing Pearl Harbor Turn 1

Again, just my opinion for each country.
