Mac user here - saved games won't reload

Just found this thread, as I was looking for War Room on TripleA as well. Just discovered War Room (after playing 100s of AaA games), and also thought it is a nice alternative, very suitable to be played on TripleA, if there is a large enough following. Also willing to chip in.

I think the AI works best on smaller maps. They make their moves much faster as there are fewer numbers for the AI to crunch at purchase or on movement.

Perhaps making a dual challenge would be fun. First Allies then Axis. With some goals set up.

I think 1942.2 (world war II v5) is a solid map for a challenge. There is a 1942.2. Tournament going on right now, so that may help to garner some interest.

If you want another “blast from the past” might try AA50. ;)

Yes, these are two different files.

java.exe is the application that is allowed to use/access the console while javaw.exe is the “console-less” Windows application.
Or in other words java.exe targets the CONSOLE subsystem while javaw.exe targets the WINDOWS subsystem.

TripleA definitely uses javaw.exe to access the web.
So java.exe won’t help you out here.
