Fly-over restrictions applicable to other Neutral territories do not apply to Vichy French territory.

Unless I am missing something, Germany should have been able to fly over southern france. I do not see anywhere that just a US attacking SF, removes that restriction. It looks like a bug in the program unless there is a FAQ I am not aware of.

Oh I didn’t know about that. Yet another complication in Vichy.

wrt SF, either USA attacking it or the rule about flyover restrictions not applying allows UK to Algeria over SF. Was thinking you wanted to overfly SF earlier in the game but I can’t find that reference now, so perhaps a different game.

Delayed response but a few things I will add:

I completely disagree with Adam514’s attack on Normandy G2. What did the Axis get from this attack? Only 4IPC to Germany and the axis lost a lot of units defending it UK3. I can’t imagine I will be dissuaded from this point either. Normally, the only time I would recommend an attack on Normandy is when there is a sea lion. I actually also disagree the Italians taking it which allowed the ownership to go to USA rather than UK. Just because I disagree with Adam doesn’t mean I’m wrong. 101 attack has an expected value of +6.5TUV so on paper it is worthwhile. Biggest problem that I have with this calculation is that it ignores the effect of stripping subs from 110/111. To me, the main benefit of the US1 Brazil landing is getting the infantry sooner. To do what? I’m not sure, I don’t use this move. One game I played against Axis-Dominion he landed USA on Morocco for the +5 bonus US1. Skipping the Yunnan attack for the SZ37 attack, I’m not a fan of. I’m not a fan of the SZ37 attack straight up because it trades a Japanese Cruiser (at a minimum) for the UK BB and the UK BB can’t participate in a US attack on the Japanese fleet, to put it simply. Without the Yunnan inf bid I prefer to leave an inf in Kwangsi so the Allies can’t stop land units from reaching Yunnan J2 but that is just my preference. India fell J4 which means it was a naval take down. This did require 30IPC in facilities but then Adam also saved an mIC vs what I normally do, which I expect to take India mostly overland J5. Getting it 1 turn earlier meant another 8IPC and maybe he also saved UK from getting 2-3 more inf. Still, I used to do it a fair bit but now I’m not convinced it’s a good trade.

Hmm, was a few years ago I went looking for a time Adam had gone down as Axis, didn’t find any. Were these games relatively recently or did I just miss one?
