Hey fellas. Since WaW is part of this tournament and many of you have a separate WaW tournament going I figured I’d post here. We are planning to release TripleA 1.9 soon and along with it a revamped WaW 2.0 (will not be backwards compatible with existing saves). In order to check out the pre-release of TripleA 1.9 and the revamped WaW 2.0 you’ll need to:
1. Download and install the latest TripleA pre-release: https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releases
2. Download WaW from in-game map downloads (alternatively you can manually download from https://github.com/triplea-maps/world_at_war/releases)
3. Test it out!
The changes are mostly focused on updating the map interface and overhauling the notes (for full changelog see game notes). There are very minimal balance changes. The only outstanding item we still need to update is renaming territories to much more realistic names which can be seen here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/155CXax8k9FXX4hDV5rU31F7haUtLEjwfQwdZRUwdUgs

TAW: Redrum (antiroman) over Balladeer (roman)
http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=38263.new;topicseen#new
Thanks for the update on World at War, redrum – I know you have been working hard on that to make the game even better! I encourage everyone to take a look at the new map when you get time (I hope to next week). For our tournaments, we will be using the old map to finish up this one, and then use the new map for all future tournaments. Therefore, if you download 1.9 TripleA, you will still want to keep 1.8.x.x.x. to be able to play the old map.

Hey, I ain’t rolling the dice!
And lets just hope you won’t roll me Good ever, I can’t play that :-)
Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know that I have been away for a family issue and will probably not be able to play turns until Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I’m so very sorry for the delay. I now will have message board access via other computers here and there so if you need anything during this time just let me know.

Hey all,
I’ve got a question about the Great War map: Where do Sz’s 87 and 78 connect to? It seems I can’t move my ships out of it, even though there are arrows pointing somehwere…
ACGTO standings update #4
Here we are, over 2 months since the last standings update, where last update redrum and Bacala were doing equally well, Bacala has clearly taken a lead in the win/loss ratio of the tournament (and the amount of finals made). He is currently at a 14/1 win/loss score (only dropping a game in Total Ancient War). Redrum is still his nearest competitor with a 13/3 score, with Balladeer (10/5) and DizzKneeLand (10/7) following them up.
By now the amount of games won also starts to count in the minimum number of points to be gained, Bacala allready has a sure 13 points secured (made 6 finals and 1 loser semi final), with no one near (next best is Balladeer at 6 points). So perhaps we should start rooting against Bacala, to keep the excitement in the tournament ;-)
One final has allready been played, for Total Ancient War, it was won by redrum. He therefore is the first player to enter a Grand Final!
Also, 3 winners finals have allready started (no real finals yet, as none of the loser brackets have been played out yet): Bacala v Balladeer on LOTR, Bacala v redrum on Great War, Bacala v Balladeer on The Rising Sun,
A few other noteworthy occurunces:
Good luck in the coming games all, we’re getting close to the finals!
@Balladeer - SZ 78 connects to SZ 77. US Declares War is adjacent (can build ships) into SZ 87 (think US Pacific coast).
And indeed Bacala seems to be in a league of his own and all 3 of my loses are to him :)

Thx red!
