That’s where you change the turn order. It won’t effect anything other then who goes when. Pretty easy adjustment.

Panther is correct. You need to change more then just the turn order. I remember doing it in alpha 3 so it shouldn’t be too hard. I’ll see what I can do.

Unfortunately my earlier confidence was misplaced. This is proving more difficult than the earlier versions.

What turn order are you after?

go to player list    Line 1222

change turn order

change alliances  ( make sure to change alliances in sequence with turn order.  Example if germany and russia change place in turn order swap their places in alliances.)

go to bidding phase  Line 1323  adjust accordingly

game sequence is right after bid phase  adjust accordingly

At the beginning is the name World War II Global 1940 2nd Edition, add something simple to the end to change the name. You will have to rename the xml as well before you put it back in the     
        Global games folder. Make sure to use the underscores and caps. This will show up in your map folder under the new name.

The objective panel will not show up unless you add the new name to the objectives properties.

If you want I’ll do the changes. I couldn’t find what turn order you were talking about though. If you have trouble let me know

open triplea folder

open maps folder ( if you don’t see one there open your triplea 1804 folder. There will be one in there. Use the first maps folder if you can.)

open world war II global zip

open the games folder (you will find the xmls here)

put the new xml in the games folder ( I have named it Gamer1 and it will show up in your Choose maps area when you start up triplea. It will be with all the other globals)

Let me know if you have any trouble. Almost got the NO’s done.

1 Germany receives 5 ipcs for contol of UK

2 Russia receives 5 ipcs if at war with Germany and no axis ships in sz 125 and control of Archangel

3 Russia receives 5 ipcs if at war with Germany and no allied units in original Russian territories

4 Russia receives 3 ipcs for control of any axis or pro axis territories in mainland europe. They no longer receive ipcs for any other original axis or pro axis territories.

5 UK receives 5 ipcs if there are no axis subs in the atlantic.
  This includes: sz’s 126,125,124,123,122,121,120,119,118,117,116,112,111,110,109,108,107,106,105,104,103,102,101,91,90,89,88,87,86,85,84,83 and 82

6 UK no longer receives ipcs for original territories

Yea unfortunately the NO tab doesn’t show up unless you put the new name in the objectives properties. I have had mixed results doing this. However at the end of your turn it will tell you what objectives you have obtained. I’ll go ahead and add them to the game notes so you can look them up there.

I didn’t test this very extensively just the obvious scenarios so you’ll want to keep an eye out for unintended results. I took a quick look at convoys. Might be able to get a bastardized version. I can eliminate the convoy SZ’s you don’t want, but changing the max damage without effecting the territory ipc value will be tougher. I assume you just turn off the dice in game options. So you’d have to figure the convoy damage manually and edit if it takes too much.

I suppose the Flying Tigers is the only thing you really can’t edit with triplea? Although some would be messy. I’ll take a look at that and getting the mid factory going. Should be able to figure something out using kamakazies as a guide.

I should be around for a while yet. I never know when I’ll be going back to work.

Is most enjoyable. I think the more Global versions the better. This map can support many different scenarios. You get tired of one play another.

You know a lot more about computers then I do. Fortunately I have access to someone who is pretty knowledgeable. I’ll try and get a few more things done. Having a little trouble with the factory at the moment.

I like the idea of no Japan/Russian war until Russia is at war in Europe, but am hesitant to add too many new rules
Do NOT like the idea of USA having a nearly untouchable +30, etc.
Will cherry pick these ideas (from YG, I believe.  Anyway.)

Actually I believe that’s Roger Cooper’s mod. He’s done several games over at triplea. He just finished a WWI game.
