You could even do a house rule for that, such that 1-3 US destroyers would be able to cross ATL and join/protect UK/ally fleets during defensive combats on turns 1-4.

I am currently working on a house rule where one can do that with Lend-Lease that US can transfer equipment.

I am also trying to set up a different rule for declaration of war where you can declare war but if you don’t have just cause, then you take a penalty for attacking but if you have just cause, then of course you’re free to declare war.

I was going to changed the let up of all units, try to get it to reflect actual WWII in 1940, for example USSR will actually have a Pacific Fleet as an example.

I was going to something crazy like put in merchant ships for Lend-Lease that will make convoy zones more useful and for pain in the A$$ to disrupted. So I had an idea setting up fighter units closer to real numbers ( I am making this number up to make an example) Let’s say I put ten fighters on London, I was going to make one of them a US fighter to represent Eagle Squadron, US will be neutral however because Eagle Squadron is in London, this is a “just cause point” for Germany and Italy to go to war with US.

I have other examples but this makes the point.

For global it depends on what round you are attacking. Like for Germany you pretty much go all mech and armor to attack on G6. Otherwise you do round 2 strait arty then you attack Russia on G7 (buying mech/armor for the other rounds).

That is pretty much it. Like other units simply do not make it in time. Like your entire german force collides on russia at a specific round. You only need to hold germany, everything else lost can be reclaimed after russia falls including france, I mean you should be using Italy to defend anyway, it has nothing better to do.

If you do a more economic style of play then you probably invested into the middle east and a more defensive style. So yes then you have a more mixed buy going on.

Global is a freaking long game to play income style with, just win, it is faster.

Hello after a few looks on the new setup i thought this could be a good move.
G1:
Buys 1ac, 1dd, 1sub
Combat moves:
Sz111 with 3tacs,3figs and 1sub
Sz 106 with 2subs
Sz 91 with 2subs
France with 7inf, 3art, 2figs, 2tacs and 2strats
Take fin and bul and shot one round at yug and retreat to rom
Move all tanks and mechs and the rest to the border. The 3 tanks from bel can only get to berlin but they are in range for the T2 attack.
The Italians could strat bomb ukr in T1 to support the action.
Any oppinions on that?
I know its risky but 9 tanks and many inf and art are a strong argument for me.

Your purchases are good, but only if you want a large war of attrition in the Atlantic (because you are leaving 110 and 109 alone). I like your sea battle options, but I would also add taking out the french ships in the Med with 1 tac and 2 fighters from west Germany (landing in southern Italy).

FM7 - to answer your question - Italy opens Barbarossa on I3, and Germany follows on G4.

Besides… it’s not about when you buy battleships as much as it is about how you use the ones you start with.

And yes, 2 or 3, with a carrier mix are great,  I LOVE the Strafing Navy…  Carriers can’t do that aswell, because the fighters can’t land on them after for the retreat! And you can only scramble up to 3! :S

I’ve been thinking about this topic and I came up with a rule for France’s surrender that’s fairly simple and would give some extra options for the Axis. Here it is:

Puppet States

When the capital of any minor power is captured, the invading player may elect to establish the conquered power as a puppet state instead of incorporating the territory into its own. The “minor powers” are France, Italy and Australia.

When a minor power becomes a puppet state, it switches sides and joins the opposing alliance. It immediately regains control of all territory previously conquered by its former enemies and returns control of all territory it has conquered to its former enemies. It loses all money in its treasury. This money is not plundered and may not be spent by any power. The puppet state retains control of all of its units in land belonging to it or its former enemies. If it has units stationed in territory that belongs to a former ally, such units are absorbed by the former ally and become units of the same type belonging to the appropriate power. If any former allies have units in the puppet state’s territory, those units become invading units and the resulting battles are fought immediately in a special combat round. These units may not retreat unless they are air units. Naval units grouped with newly hostile navies are treated as new purchases deployed into hostile waters.

After this process has been completed, the puppet state now operates normally except it has switched to the opposing side and the player who established the puppet state now controls it. If a former ally of the puppet state is able to take its capital territory, the capital is considered conquered and not liberated. The former ally has the option of repeating the puppet state process and returning the power to its original alliance, in which case the original player controlling that power now regains control of it. The puppet state option does not go away and may be repeated indefinitely by the two alliances as they conquer and reconquer the capital territory of the minor power.

Because the capital territory never switches control during a puppet state conversion, major factories are not reduced to minor factories. National objectives still apply for the puppet state. When reading these rules, replace any instances of the term “Allies” or “Allied” with “Axis” and vice versa. The only exception to this is France’s national objective. The one-time bonus of four infantry is never available to Axis powers when they conquer or liberate Paris and is awarded to France even if being converted back into an Ally through the puppet state process.
