Oh right on, judging from the way the reds just took back Shanghai I’d say you’re playing with the home field advantage.
:-DIt’s an interesting, perhaps somewhat sad commentary on the OOB balance and Victory conditions when Axis can lose 60 ipcs in bomber TUV in the first 4 rounds, and still feel like they could maybe pull something out hehe. If the Allies sustained similar loses they’d be toast for sure, but Axis have the oppertunity to take risks, fail miserably, and still recover.
I moved my main stack to Belo for the time being, the potential for American armor to run amuck on the eastern front with can openers, encouraged me to a more defensible position.

Haha yeah a little bomber crazy. I typically purchase 1 per round until I have 4-6 total, to help in the endgame. I find they’re really useful with G, more to prevent the Allies from splitting their fleets up too much. They’re better at fleet hunting than for SBR. They keep dieing on me, so I’m not sure whether I’ll risk many more bombing runs lol

I’ll be interested to see what the US does with that huge pile of cash they acquired last round. The furious fighting around Anhwei has definitely been keeping the Japanese on their toes!

To add insult to injury, the planned assault on Ukraine was nearly undone when a full air wing of BF109 scheduled to lead the attack was mysteriously held back at airfields in Belo, apparently never receiving the orders to engage. Fortunately the Wehrmacht was able to score a lucky one, to make of for the combat move fiasco.
His failures to the fatherland utterly complete and undeniable, Hermann Göring has just locked himself in the bathroom and put a Luger in his mouth… Bang!

After such a string of terrible defeats in the skies over the Soviet Union, Germany has finally switched gears and invested in a massive armor expansion. Tank columns rolling steadily off the line. One shining ray of hope amidst the otherwise dismal news from the front, the raids on London were rather more successful this round than last.

Hahah true but bombing in A&A only works from a risk reward if the bombers die at a statistically average rate right now the total is 60 TUV (72 if you count the Kwantung bomber that died to airblitz) vs what like 21 ipcs in damage? A miserable failure, but I’ll own it, as I declined to follow my own advice, clearly outlined in my various “strategies for beginners” thread heheh.
Speaking of failure, Japan suffered another setback, when your Americans in Finland scored a hit vs the Japanese airblitz. German losses are manageable enough, but its these accursed Japanese planners that we will really be our undoing. The Imperial Navy and Imperial Army just can’t see to coordinate a plan of proper attack. The Navy has demanded more fighters, screaming about their brave troops abandoned in the jungles of Sumatra, but these demands were promptly ignored. Instead the Army gets their way, with a wiley Kwang blitz and production expansion in Manchuria, and a proper garrison to “defend” our puppet regime there.

A little problem here. What happened is I rolled for the shore bombardment but nothing came up and I shut down the program just to find out dice verification mail has already arrived. 2 dices been rolled. one is 4, one is 6. Is there any way to figure out which one for battleship and which one for cruiser? Didn’t say in the mail.
