gamer, i’m curious, why do you take most of what i’m saying as disrespectful? honestly it’s not intended to be. i’m just commenting on the game. it’s not an ad hominem as you’re taking it to be.
my hemorrhaging comment was actually meant to be funny, because that was my first impression when i opened up the map and saw a big red blotch in the middle of the german empire
man you guys are just too serious……
Now that’s a fairer post
You can’t take credit for the dice making it difficult to take out the India stack…. it could have gone the other way
In case you hadn’t noticed… the European map could be completely irrelevant. Of COURSE I took out the Indian stack with the Germans. I’m just thrilled Ghost didn’t make me do it with the Japanese
You also put too much value on the middle east. We’ve both convoyed 80 significantly during this game, nullifying much of the IPC value
Too much discussion at this point - let’s see what Ghost does with R18
And by the way, if you were playing Ghost you would be dead by now, so… a little respect please
-
it only took, oh, 17 rounds for japan to finally get around to it…
This is disrespectful
-
sorry you took it that way, seems like anything i say is going to rub you as disrespectful.
it’s a comment on the game and was meant to support my “fortress” point that india was holding strong for many, many rounds. all fortresses, no matter how strong, do eventually fall with enough pressure and time…so it was with india.
instead of taking it as disrespectful, how about you take it as credit to your opponent for holding out so long, or better yet, credit to yourself for undertaking a different strategy than most do, as you pointed out and i appreciated.

Heh - I don’t know if you appreciate something if you don’t say so
I have given lots of credit to Ghost already, and will give a lot more when the game’s over
In defending yourself from me criticizing your analysis, you are attacking my game position and my statements, and apparently you don’t realize it. Either way, if you’re going to keep commenting on the game, just be more careful please. Ghost won’t be happy with you either, if he perceives that you are disrupting the integrity of the game -
Ask Ghost how good I am, after the game is over, or he might tell you now
He appreciates my strategies a lot more than you do, I’m sure, because you’ve never played against them -
In case you hadn’t noticed…… the European map could be completely irrelevant.
seems to me, if it is likely completely irrelevant as you say, why in this turn would 23 german fast head westward instead of the other direction to support the japs?
-

He appreciates my strategies a lot more than you do, I’m sure, because you’ve never played against themand when did i ever say you’re not good? i think i’d be a dumb person if i claimed or hinted at that. i’m just commenting on how i see the game as it’s developing. i happen to feel the allies are doing great, but that’s just my opinion and judgement, and i’m not afraid to come out wrong on this. i think it’s fun to post observations, sort of like the half-time analysis of sports :-)

Because the Japs don’t need any support, and I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket. The Germans are fine
-
look, we all know by now the game is just not favorable to the allies, so any time we see the allies putting up a decent fight we need to cheer for them, alright? :-P
-
Not when it’s the best Allied specialist in the league and he got a 21 bid. There is no underdog here
-
seems to me, if it is likely completely irrelevant as you say, why in this turn would 23 german fast head westward instead of the other direction to support the japs?
You see - this is disrespectful. You are calling my integrity into question. AND you are asking me why I made a (significant) move that I just did, which is clearly inappropriate. Why don’t you watch silently for a while please.
-
Sounds like a plan :-)

With 22 downloads of our most recent map I figured I better ensure some entertainment, so Russia purchased another airbase :-o
-
great line, Ghost :)
-
He’s so full of it. He’s doing it purely for gameplay reasons. I knew there was a good chance he’d build one. I look forward to using it.
-
Thought I’d be looking at 5 extra tanks in Moscow, but no. 10 more infantry and a free airbase :-D
-
I was really just referring to the the comment itself. I have no idea about the current map, but just judging from the posts, must be a great game. As expected.
-
One of the best ever, at least for me. Hotly contested after 18 rounds, looking to be a very long one - Ghost has been playing for the long game from round 1

I know you were referring to the comment. Once again, Ghost jokes about doing something for a very different reason than he is actually doing it. Funny man, he is
