Yeah, same deal. I’m just giving you an extra 5 IPCs per turn for no reason, and letting you kill British people easily. Maybe if they were Russians, I don’t mind the thought of Russians needlessly dying, there’s plenty of those damn people.
I’d rather Japan just keep it. If you want to build units there, again, good, those are units that aren’t messing with the US/ANZAC.

So, this naval battle, I fucking went for it. Horrible odds, but it’s go time for the allies, and instead of retreating my ANZAC navy to Hawaii, I’d rather take the chance I have now to destroy some units you have that might threaten the middle east or join in a recapture of SZ 6 later. Now that America has showed up, and ANZAC is reclaiming your money islands, the point is to keep Japan in a position of having to make hard decisions.
I have scored two hits on the first round, which sucks for me. Should have been three, and I was hoping for four.

I ended up getting pretty lucky there. Running the battle calc after the fact (because I refuse to do it before), it seems I had about a 1/3 chance of winning that fight. And I won.
That makes me feel less bad about the previous dice-fuckings I have received this game.

I don’t see any dice emails from MARTI, and there was no battle that popped up from the savegame file (sorry, I’m new to play-by-forum), so I’m assuming you want me to go ahead with the first round of combat and pick my losses?2:
Friendly reminder: You did not move your submarine in SZ 90 off of Persia. Were you wanting to fight the destroyer? (Because if not, you actually move it away on the combat movement phase).Let me know on both counts, and we’ll get this party started!

Oh, I see, you want me to pick my preferred order of losses?
Unfortunately, in a naval battle such as this, I’m going to have to see what you also take as casualties round by round, to know what to take on my end. For instance, whether and when I take carrier/plane losses depends greatly on whether I’m doing well or getting my ass kicked.
If the game does not support posting/loading saves in the middle of combat, with the combat info also going across, I can keep the game loaded and running on my home machine pretty much indefinitely. We could run the big battle on my side if that is easier for you.
Just let me know.
