For the trucks, I 3D-printed some models on Shapeways and added them to my collection after painting them. Here is the link to the model in my shop :

There’s other options like gun-mounted trucks, which could be a hybrid mobile-artillery / AA battery, armored cars, and more ! So if you want to make things more interesting, feel free to be creative !

For your tank idea, I wonder if the increased cost would make them appealing. They sure would boost your offensive power by boosting your infantry, it’s just a question of would you be able to buy enough to make a difference. Let me know how it turns out !

Basically I have two kinds of players I play A&A with. For casual player and family I can con into playing A&A with during the holidays, it’s all about simplicity. When I can get an A&A junkie like myself and one of my brothers playing, we can do complicated HRs. For that middle ground game I use a little of both. Frankly most games I get in, because I only play FTF, are Revised and Classic with 42.2 coming in distant 3rd place. Global with “Toblerone’s House Rules” is solo and experimental.

Finland should be added to the ceded tts.

In reality the Allies did not evacuate Karelia, but used it as a base for interventions in the Civil War.

I also think Revolution should occur on the German turn, but with the above changes this may not be needed.

Flash, it should just read “hostile” territory. It can’t be contested if its hostile. The idea is that it is still friendly to the CP even if the allies move in first. They could evacuate and then after both sides have done so, it is now contested. Sorry I was not clear.

As for Finland, historically though Russia withdrew any claims to it, it was not occupied by Germany.

Since my rule doesn’t provide for fighting the civil war there is no point leaving allied units in Karelia. Would matter for your version.

I went lower at 15/23 because after J1 the Chinese lose 4 tt’s normally, and 15/23 just about doubles what happens from there. I think that 18/23 (and is still divisible by 3 for inf BTW) would be fine though, and most likely would work for the game your in now. I feel that they should at the very least should be able to help to liberate India (part of the Burma road, and I believe some Chinese divisions did end up retreating to India) if they have their own affairs in order first (18/23 does that IMO). It’s really what your comfortable with.

Can I suggest you play OTHER players??  I think you may be in a rut if you are only playing the same opponent(s) over and over.  Online/PBEM is the way to go for the easiest way to play new players with different ‘perspectives’ on the game.

I agree, it’s amazing the different strategies from one experienced player to another. It’s like a totally different game when you play someone willing to take risks that your regular opponent won’t.
