I try to be more clear.

Actually i say right the opposite.
Let’ say it like this : the american makes an amphibious landing in a beach region with japanase defender in the adjoining region so has to fight the japanese :

if american win all japanese unit are destroyed so american move up form beachead to the region if american lose all his troops are destroyed and japanese troops stay on the territory near beachead zone

In both cases there are not any units on the beachead at he end of the combat.

Is it right ?
If it is how is it possible to have units in there ?
Am i missing something in the rules?

No. In fact i’m talking about historical accuracy battle.
If you make war you start with your strongest force.
Germany, USSR and later the Allies, used the tanks, planes and artillery to start the battle not with the infantry.

It really doesn’t make a difference as far as rules go. All defending units get to return fire regardless. If you’re assigning casualties i.e. tank vs tank etc. That would be incorrect. Except in the case of some naval units, the defender may assign hits to whatever unit they choose and may return fire.

I may not be understanding what your concept is. Please explain. If I am assuming you correctly you need to read through the rules again and it may give you a clearer idea of the combat sequence.

I’m not trying to be rude. I think your post could be a bit more descriptive. It will help people answer your question better.

If guadalcanal played this way without the dice battle box, I think it would be a lot more popular. Battle of midway is everything you would want out of Guad. Simple movements and combat resolves quite simply, roll a 1 and attacker chooses casualty, roll a 2 and defender picks.  Great game.

Your reading to far into it. Just US,BRITIAN,and Russia against a well fortified GERMANY.Bridges must be taken to speed advance before Germany can blow them. Allies must hold supply lines,Germany can sabatoge and counter attack. Simple and fun.
