    Um…I think I made some mistake in last 2 rounds…I forgot Japan could only put 8 instead of 10… and I should have kept my fighter to defend homeland instead of losing them all in a sea battle.

    So it looks like this big mistake will speed up the loss of my game :x

    That is usually a tough choice for Japan.  If you pull your ftrs you usually end up losing your fleet for relatively little cost to US.  I think Japan can stay in it longer if they do that but the ftrs are typically forced to defend Man and Japan.  But yes, you could have prolonged how long Japan would have been in the game.  I thought a few rds ago when you had the fleet in the South Pacific you might have tried that and sailed the ships to the Atlantic while the ftrs stayed near Japan and Asia.

    I don’t think it was a bad move with your ftrs, if you won you would have sunk all the US pacific transports which would have delayed any assault on Japan or Asia another 2 rds minimum.

    I’ve found as Japan in this situation, if US is starting to win in the Pac and take Islands that Japan has to continue to try and match ship for ship.  As tempting as it is to continue to push in Asia or elsewhere, if US is spending 100% on the Pac eventually they will force the IJN north to Sz 60 or 62, at that point you just have to try and delay and stay alive.  Anything not spent on either stacking Japan or adding ships/ftrs potentially ends up being a lost cost of IPCs which continues to tilt various battles in the US favor.
    Basically I’ve found the best is to turtle and keep your fleet in Sz 62 and if you can spare inf to Asia you have to work from Japan to Man and try to hold your ground there and hope Germany is close to taking Mos.
