As you can see, somehow my 2 inf from Kiangsi did not get into the battle in Kwangtung. I obviously want to edit them into the battle. First, may I? Second, what is the procedure? Do we accept the rolls and they were done? In this case, I got 2 hits and you got 1 hit, therefore there is no real need to roll for my 2 inf. OR, do I take the rolls and move them into the correct positions (first 2 dice go to my 2 inf, next 2 dice to my 2 FTR, net 2 dice to my 2 TB, and then roll 2 dice for your 2 inf?
Yeah AA fire is the bane of my existence in Axis and Allies. I always have bad luck with it. In the original game, I actually lost a game to my buddy where I had heavy bombers and both UK and USA. I swear he was shooting down my bombers faster than I could build them! (The one transport’s were ugly to me as well . . . 1 in 6 seemed like 5 in 6.)
I think the proper procedure is whatever the players decide. I appreciate the heads up. I’ve had other opponents just make the combat edits without asking. Rule of thumb is after dice are rolled you’d better ask. I did think it strange that you attacked with only air. I’m cool with you editing in 1 inf and taking the territory. Remember to edit the control of the territory and your treasury as well! We all miss stuff especially when your turn gets interrupted. I try to be pretty casual when playing. Follow the rules yes but have some leeway for your opponent. I am in the league to learn more about the game and get better.
I too have a buddy that I absolutely own when I roll AA guns. I make the air raid horn noise as I’m getting ready to roll dice! Really gets in his head.
Thanks! Yeah, I am playing to learn the game as well. That is why I am trying out different stuff each game just to see what works and doesn’t work. Last game, I really screwed up Japan waiting so long to attack. I figured that keeping the US out of the war was better, but all it did was allow you to get set up real good to be a pain.
