    hit the CV for the moment but I reserve the right to change as I don’t have to make casualty choice until the full round of your rolls is complete.  Here are my choices based on the total number of hits you get including the sub

    5 hits  keep the cruiser
    4 hits  keep cruiser and sub
    3 hits  keep cruiser, sub, dd
    2 hits  kill sub and dd
    1 hit  kill dd

    Yeah you do, the attacking subs fire before and you need to choose the casualty right away.

    triple a handles this wrong, see above, when there is no first strike for subs (dd present), casualty choice isn’t made until after all attacker rolls.

    with 2 total hits my choice is sub and dd

    I got 3 hits so second round should be: 2 figs cruiser bomber vs cruiser sub dd? How do you suggest we handle the combat now?

    you meant 1 hit on the 2nd round I thought you meant the 2nd “phase” ok I’ve caught up now.  You got 1 hit in 2nd round so i’ll take the hit on the DD and then I roll cruiser & dd (sub already missed)  You can roll it in the forum.

    I was looking at the dice rolls on the server and saw the sub rolled a 6 but now I notice that it says round 2 which is actually round 1, the dice server seems to always call round 1 round 2 for some reason.  How did you roll 3 w/o rolling my sub beforehand?  it has a 1st shot it should have rolled first unless you told it to submerge?? if you did I’m fine with that but if not I’m not sure why the sub wouldn’t have already fired.

    Yeah I didn’t take your casualties correctly since I thought the OOL you wrote was hits after sub not total hits.

    this explains how to roll in the forums, I would suggest you test it out first before you roll for the battle, we’ll just say no rolls count until you post a prior message saying the next rolls are good.

    Right now in the battle it’s 2 figs 1 cruiser 1 bomber vs damaged carrier cruiser fig.

    well then I should roll the sub too, but to be fair if I had been given the option to submerge the sub which I can do since you don’t have a DD I probably would have taken it and I could do so prior to the next round anyway since you’ve already fired and only got 1 hit.  So I say we pretend I submerged the sub, I take the DD as a casualty and then we fire the cruiser and DD and proceed from there.

    Yeah I would have also kept a DD if I had kept your correct OOL in order to kill the sub. Alright sounds good and seems fair, going to test rolling.
