Take the amphibious units as your casualties in the first round.  The amphibious units can’t retreat–they have to fight to the end.

Yeah, but they can’t make it to Alexandria to defend your Italians on a straight-for-Egypt push, though they can still take part in an Egypt strafe if necessary on G3 (but then be way out of position for for G4 instead of back on S. Italy prepped to head into Russia).

They can still bomb/escort for a G2 raid on London before a Sea Lion.

I could ask either Krieghund or gamerman01(who was also deputized) to confirm. Additionally, you can look at the G40 FAQ thread to see how many rules questions I have answered.

You only use a movement point when you cross a boundary between spaces.  Taking off from or landing on a carrier does not involve crossing such a boundary because both the carrier and plane are both in the same sea zone.
