With the OOB the centrals never won one game. With the tournament rules it is about 50/50. And the only house rule we use is impassable Switzerland.Â

Played a lot with the Tournament Rules and no one even bothered to go there as you can get around it with the 2-moves quite easy. Its not worth slowing down the offensive with the CP. Just an observation from my group.

FYI, we have had the CP get wins with OOB rules, but its a grind and that was WITHOUT using the RR rules too! 2-move rule makes for a more dynamic game.

Small packs of sculpts packaged like minis for larver scale games would be cheap to produce and sell very well. Expanding into small skirmish type battle maps and expansions would be a gold mine for WOTC.

and its not like they haven’t done anything like this before (d-day, battle of the bulge)

they should make and release another collectors edition game (like anniversary) that is absolute top quality in every way, with more than enough pieces,
multiple rule sets(beginner - advanced), multiple setups for different years
no crappy cardboard chits, some form of IPC, some form of marshaling cards etc etc
just jack up the price, il buy it ;)

I get what you’re saying. But if they sold packs of minis or boosters and threw in some playing card sized rules or something they would sell. Small packs of vehicles and the like would be a gold mine and cost far less to produce than A&A minis. Frankly had they made those in the same scale as traditional A&A pieces they would probably sell better. They could even call it Axis And Allies Tactics or something.

Would be neat to see the Chinese communists represented, they should have special guerrilla abilities (may be placed in an occupied territory, attacks on a 3 for the first round). They should also get an IPC bonus (maybe 3-4) if nearby Russia maintains nearby territories. Goes without saying they can’t occupy the same territories as Nationalist units.

Canada is definitely a no-brainer, I would let them start with what’s on the board and just add a destroyer at SZ1, and they get a 5 IPC bonus if they control all their original territories plus Newfoundland/Labrador.
