Somewhere mid battle, while the germans needed to decide which unit to lose, they had to make a phone call (or whatever type of things there were during WWII to make a call) to their Italian ally to inform on their opinion. This slightly delayed the battle, to the annoyance of the, dying, Russian soldier who was on the other side of the battle.
