I didn’t run into any error … I think my tripleA engine and WaW map are the latest versions … is it possible you have an older version of either?
I have:
tripleA 1.8.0.5
World at War 1.1.9 -
Correction: I have 1.2.1 installed, but it is backwards compatible with the 1.1.9 that captainwalker started.
-
i dont no whats going on.
someone tried to fix things and i cant get anything to post.
do you think i will have to re install the game or something like that.
i’m not big on this stuff so if i can get some direction it would be cool.
i downloaded google chrome recently. for rabbit tv.
not sure if that has anything to do with it. this dr. oz keeps popping up when i go to a&a. -
Are your other matches working?
-
none of my axis and allies are working. no dice, no post
-
I don’t know much about this kind of stuff either, but I would
1 run a security scan
2 update Java
3 try opening the games with your old browserI got the Dr Oz page once last week and Whitman had to deal with it over the weekend…so you’re not the only one who’s had issues with it.
That Dr Oz has got a lot of nerve…just because he was named after Mehmed the Conqueror doesn’t give him the right to interfere with our game!

I know, what a bastard cheek: get off my screen!
Good luck from me too, Wayne. I hate it when I can’t get tech to work. Thinking of you.
Definitely do the security checj first. I ghj m that is what sorted it for me, but then I only had that Doctor Death with which to contend. Fool that he is and all those who watch and follow those silly programmes. -
I use Internet Explorer and, when I click on the Boardgames thread, it’s not uncommon for an information bar to pop up at the bottom of my screen that tells me Internet Explorer has blocked unsecure content.
If are using a newly installed browser then I would check the security settings on the browser and raise them up a bit. -
i dont want to sound stupid but, all i no on the computer is A&A and Ebay. as far as finding where the security check is i will need some advice.
-
I don’t use Chrome but I do have it installed on my pc…so I’ll see if I can find out how to check the settings…check back later!
-
I can’t find anything on Chrome.
But if you go to the “tools” tab on your pc there should be something there for pop up blocker or filter…check the settings on those.
Or you can load Internet Explorer and use that for games. -
here it is my son helped me

-
I bet your browser has listed Java as a program to be blocked. I would suggest trying to update or reinstall Java and see if that fixes it.
-
post that pic on the software thread…Panther or someone can help you there
-
This link might help you.
I just googled your error message, address family not supported by protocol family.
-
so, googling your error shows basically only ways you could be getting this error:
1. Your firewall or AntiVirus is blocking TripleA and/or Java and/or port 80
2. Your Java is trying to use IPv6 instead of IPv4, and it shouldn’t be, or something.
I’ve never heard of or encountered this error before, so here is my suggestion:
Uninstall Java
Make sure all of them are uninstalled (you might have more than 1 java installed)Uninstall and remove ALL copies of TripleA (you might have more than 1 triplea installed)
Download the latest version of java, from http://www.java.com
Download the latest version of TripleA, from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/triplea/files/TripleA/1_8_0_5_extra_maps/triplea_1_8_0_5_windows_installer.exe
restart your computer after all that, just cus
good luck

Thank you for having a look Veqryn. Good luck Wayne.
