I went when I was really young. I think I mainly visited resorts and amusement parks.

Yes, congratulations. Being in the USA, World Juniors is not a high profile event, though I do wish I could watch/read more about the collegiate/junior level players.

it’s true, the coverage here in Canada for the world juniors is very extensive. Although I don’t know many of our players when the tournament begins, our sports networks make it easy to know them well before it ends. It’s also a great chance to see the top prospects of your favorite NHL team in action, For example… Martin Reway for the Slovak team was awesome and as a Montreal Canadiens fan, you gotta love seeing draft picks like Reway play so well. I was watching the Montreal Tampa game last night, and man was the pace ever slow compared to the speed and intensity that the WJHC games are played at. I feel sorry for Americans that can’t watch the games, it’s a shame that ESPN and FOX don’t take ice hockey seriously.

NHL channel had them on. I watched a few. Very entertaining. Like the playoffs or Olympics. Wish they’d let them fight.

Yeah, I don’t have cable or satellite so I wouldn’t be able to watch even if they did, but I can’t entirely blame the networks if there is little demand for it. However… I am firmly in the Detroit-Windsor TV area so I wish the programming would reflect the higher hockey awareness that we have up here, as compared to other parts of the country.
Watching how the NHL prospects develop is the aspect I wish I got to see more of. We have a local ECHL team here (Toledo Walleye) which are a great organization, fun to watch and a Red Wings affiliate but you don’t get to see the higher profile guys that tend to crack the NHL lineups. If the Griffins (AHL) played here I would be much more motivated to follow them closely. World Juniors and college are quite removed from my consciousness because they are so inaccessible, both on TV and in sports articles.
Ah, well… if only things were different.
