Obviously it’s no big deal as I can also read the game history. Posting the summary just streamlines the process by 1 step.
OK, sure, but I’ve been having trouble posting save games. When it even works, it takes like 20 seconds instead of 3 or 4, and then there’s the error messages, which I got when posting the first time. But I’ll remember your preference in the future
That’s odd. The software works differently for different computers. I’m playing a few games and it seems to work ok (there was a problem with postsavegame for a few days about a week ago).
Just to clarify I’m talking about using File/postsavegame in the triplea file in pbem mode. I open the file I posted in the forum thread in pbem mode, make the edit, then postsavegame.
It’s a nice feature, useful to the person posting the file, and to a lesser extent to the other player reading the summary of the edit.
Anyway not a big deal. I’m zealous about promoting Triplea features and occasionally repeat myself.
Yes, I’m fully aware of that great feature, but have had significant problems posting savegames to the forum via triple a the past month or so, so just attaching a file was easiest.
