Gargantua (Allies+17) over DizzKneeLand33 (Axis)
http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=34743.0
Wild dicey mood swings for both sides, culminating in the key battle where Mickey choked on his dice (die?!) when a lone Russian infantry blowgunner took out the German Panzer in Egypt, without loss…. allowing the UK to secure Egypt (with air as well as a new build) forever…
GG, Garg!

Really neat Pacific endgame, 60 German mech/tank rushing through China towards the last VC, but the Allies were too well entrenched in Shanghai … tip of my hat to Juan’s excellent play :-)
-
You all know Wheat is a gentleman, I am happy about how I could avoid the Pacific win, but must admit that without the good dice that my russians had in Europe, this win would have been impossible. I still could not find a way to stop Wheat´s Axis with even dice.

He resigned and requested a rematch, but failed to post this result, even though I had reminded him to. Anyway, so here it is.

Axis-Dominion over Karl7 Axis
Italy massacred R1-why continue?
-
Karl, you’ve lost your mind.
I looked at your 2 1/2 round game.
You had pretty good dice all around. Yeah, UK1 and Italy1 weren’t so great, but it’s not like you scrambled 3 aircraft and got blasted. The real reason you resigned appears to be whatever this risky Yunnan J3 attack was and you said you got diced.
Again, the whole 1st round was fine for the Axis. You won in 106, won in France with normal losses, won in Yugo with normal losses, came away from 110 only losing a sub because of no scramble… Won in Yunnan J1, German counterattack on 97 went OK…
You may have other reasons to resign this game, but blaming Italy “massacre” round 1 is LAME

Garg, you’re next on my list, or rather, am I next on your list?

ha ha… well, you are not counting getting killed in Ethiopia and hitting nothing (actually I think Italy got only 1 hit defense the whole round), losing all Italy’s money, then have the rest of Italy’s fleet being killed by 1 French ftr (that may been R2 though)…
Axis-Dominion is too good a player to start out like this.

Italy massacred R1-why continue?Â
…because they’re only Italy? Â :-D
I just had China score 4/4 hits vs. Japan in Yunnan. Â Didn’t take it Rd 1. Â Man that sucks, but no reason to give up. Â Â Stiff upper lip and all that!
