MOVED: Modified 1914 Map file

That is what it’s looking to be like, I’ve been hunting around to get inspiration and it looks as though, as you stated, what i want doesn’t exist. So now comes the hard work and thinking of how to design such a game. Perhaps a basic, unrefined skeleton is where I start and from there I can see if it is possible.

Not you but a message to others. I can’t release versions of maps that can be edited/stripped of whatever. Too many people selling on ebay these things and shouldn’t.

Thanks for the advise. From what I have read so far, I knew option #1 would be expensive and I am getting close to the point where I just don’t care. But I will start with Doug first in order to weigh out my options.

By the way, your wall mount (magnet) idea is genius!

The best solution to the problem is to download TripleA. The above link will let you do exactly that. Not only will this engine allow you to play Larry Harris maps, it also allows you to play a good selection of player-created maps. Some of them are significantly better than any of Larry’s maps, at least to me. (Including New World Order, Rising Sun, and Domination 1914 No Man’s Land.)

The board I’m working on is about 25" x 40", is made of metal, and all the pieces are magnetized (super glue and a magnet) and of various designs from a hobby store. Mostly Die-cast metal pieces. It’s beena bit pricy to start, and i’m not nearly done, but I’ll be able to hang this think on the wall between sessions or just play on the wall if I feel like it.
