Pretty Much, it makes sense for game balance, but not so much for realism.

I can not find the rule allowing Japan to build a Factory in Siam. Has this been dropped?

EDIT Found it. I was looking in the wrong place.

i like the convoy zone optional rule, however i believe there should be a qualification that the axis still only gain the income on an actual roll of a 1.  this would represent the fact that subs can’t steal cargo, their sole goal was to destroy merchant ships not seize them.

We are playing again on Friday. Any chance it will be up Friday morning?

It’s really just a list of questions and suggestions. It’s more difficult to do this over an iPod than I expected.

Regardless, I hope it knocks down the despair a bit.

I think if Denmark is neutral then the straights should be open to any country. Germany should take Denmark to keep the UK fleet from entering….I will add this in my 6.1 rules coming out this weekend.

Thanks for bringing up the 5.0 rules clarifications needed. Our group will be playing '39 next weekend with the new rules, revised map, and some of the optional battle markers from HBG. Like you, I’d like to see an updated set-up.

The new rules do look good and I especially like the changes regarding industrial complexes which I think will change things a bit in Europe (having the French complex as a minor will certainly help the Germans).

Thank you Variable for the answers regarding the rules. After we play next weekend I’ll post some more questions I am sure.
