Still I do not really trust these forum dice as being random. There are some pretty obvious patterns to them.
The first roll will always be low, which is stupid. Especially for infantry vs infantry or sub vs sub battles.

I wish I knew before I started rolling in the forum.
For future battles, I would like to asked, because I do not want to roll anything in the forum anymore. This should have been asked because it is a minimal risk with high reward potential.
Yes you can defend. Subs do defend against transports offloading stuff!

Statistically speaking it makes sense to duke it out. 63%~ chance you win and I lose 6 tuv. 13% draw 24% Japan win with +20 tuv.
Of course if the forum dice are not exactly random…. kind of screws this math up. lol.

I understand how to roll dice on the forum now. aaa 10@1 is what I used there. Basically number of dice you want to roll @ what it hits at. aaa stands for axis and allies, I guess it is intuitive enough.

If you use dice 1d6 and roll it out one by one, it is random.
If you do dice 2+d6, it places the lowest rolls first before the higher rolls.

You can defend, if my sub attacks you. But I ignored your sub.
Rules:
Amphibious Assault Example: . . . If there had been only defending submarines
and/or transports, the attacking U.S. player could have

of your units’ movement, nor do they prevent loading
or offloading in that sea zone (with one exception; see

If attacker brings a sub in, the attacking forces can ignore the sub and do the amphibious assault.
Same if DD is present. You can always ignore lone subs (e.g. if you want to conduct shore bombardment instead) -
