Im not talking about a digital Map, but a real one. I consider myself very artistically minded so I think I could do it without it looking too bad. What materials would I need, how much time would it take? I wanna do a global map from about 1920.
Cody Dean here from Dean’s Army Guys. I wanted to share a custom Polish army I made for a client. I love getting to do unique armies for people where I can expand beyond the main 5 powers. Check it out! Email me at info@deansarmyguys.com for a quote on the custom army of your dreams!
I determined the biggest size that would fit on my dining room table would be 28 inches by 51 inches. Can I go to a print shop have them down a map and print it in that size?
You definitely can print the map I shared with the community (look at 2Huskies link) at this size.
Thanks for the information guys! I’ve been wondering this for a while. There’s a resized version( I’d post the link here but not allowed yet) but it’s stripped of a bunch of the additions I like. The thread title is “Cleaned-up G40 map / 96x48” (Preview)"
––Here is an “in-process” pic of one of the U.S. Navy APD Fast Transports. These are the famous
“Green Dragon’s” that were re-built from WW-1 ‘four-piper’ Destroyers into Fast Transports to assist the Marine Raiders in their endeavors. The paint scheme utilises “Allworkandnoclay’s” talent to the max. The units are from Shapeways and have had their depth-charge racks removed so as to have the 48-star U.S. Flag applied to their stern decks. More on these six ships as they progress. Enjoy!
––Unless I’m mistaken these are the first highly detailed, painted and decalled SHIPS that the WarMachine has done so far.
