Communist China

@thrasher1 Our group plays China at War, Turkey at War, Fighting Railways, and Diplomacy. We have played others, but those 4 are our favorites. Diplomacy is starting to wear out it’s welcome a bit, as far as I’m concerned. It adds a lot of fun to the game, but it heavily favors the Allies. Some games it can really swing things.

When reseaeching it say all unit get +1, should this be read as all exsisting units gets an auto upgrade? It also says reseaeched weapons must be built in major factory, so you can no longer build “normal mech” in a minor factories for the rest of the game?

So I tried to address a similar problem with the Monroe Doctrine. My group and I still have not gotten Monroe reaction by US down to 100% because the rule designer clearly didn’t think or test this shit out enough. (not shocked based on responses).

Non allies attack Americas: I’ve been told that the US doesn’t actually DoW by definitions of the words but take military action while at peace, think of it as a proxy war but both sides are directly involve like the Suez Crisis in real life. US may go down and engage and remove any hostile nations in the Americas and then they end up annexing the territories they took since they are active by rules and thus US was able to gain income while still being at peace.

France or Commonwealth (or any other official Allies): I put in the house rule that they cannot attack the Americas because the game doesn’t allow nations inside Alliances to fight each other so unless Monroe is the only situation where US will fight French and Commonwealth troops, I tell my group they simply do not wish to piss off the US and thus cannot attack the Americas.

Does Communist China start with any money at the beginning of the game?

1. Can Communist China enter FEC territories?

2. Can Communist or Nationalist China enter Russian Territories?
comm Chinese can but nationalist can not

3. Can Communist or Nationalist China enter Neutral Territories?
comm chinese can nationalists can not

Be like the US taking Moscow, allies liberate other allies.

Sorry guys, Coach misread the question! I talked it over with him today. Wild Bill, as usual, you are correct on this one too. The advantage to having Russia at war with Japan is they can combine their attack with the Communist Chinese. The CC can indeed attack Japan from turn 1. China can’t afford to wait for anything if they are going to slow down the Japanese!
