Evening Herr KaLeun. I too have always been surprised that this charge was the last large scale one, but it is how I remember it.

Nazi intrusions / restrictions on his business opened Oscars eyes a bit more to the Nazi atrocities against the Jews.

He still managed, and he knew he had to keep a friendly face forward so the Army would keep buying his cookware.  But he finally saw enough and was in the end became human.  Keeping his workers alive amid his dwindling resources was his way of taking it to “Der Herr”.

The signing of the document was really the anticlimax. It was adopted by congress on July 4th 1776.

They started to sign it on August 2nd but the signing wasn’t compeated until much later, monthes later, if I remember right.

Still a good pic though! Now if they could show his cabinet as the the RING WRAITHS that would be cool!
