@Shin:
Oh. It just let me pick. Aren’t all AA shots resolved at the same time anyway?
If it’s an issue, I can redo - but we’d have to redo the AA too, wouldn’t we?
Not at all. AA is supposed to be rolled for each installation separately. Which is why we have to roll AA using forum dice if we attack multiple installations. However since you already rolled the dice in triple A, they count. As of right now there are two solutions. The easiest would be to use forum dice and roll a single die. 1,3,5 would mean a tactical bomber and a bomber would die and 2,4 and 6 would mean 2 bombers would die or the other way around. It is a simple and effective solution. So two planes are going to die still.
-
Oh, OK. This has never come up for me before, actually.
What is the roll command here?
-
Rolls: 1@6 ; Total Hits: 11@6: (5)
However the ‘:’ after the 6 should be right behind it. Then you get the following:
Rolls: 1@6; Total Hits: 11@6: (2)

let me try again:
;aaa 1@6;and replace ; with :
-
OK! Like you said, odds mean a Tac bomber dies and nothing changes. Even means that the Tac lives (and the Airfield takes one more hit), but one more bomber dies. I suppose we could roll to see which bomber gets hit later if we need to.
Rolls: 1@6; Total Hits: 11@6: (6)
-
Excellent! Then we can just play on. The turn I posted stands.
-
Or not. I swear that was odd a second ago. Hrm.
OK, rolling a 1d4. 1 means the Bomber attacking the airfield foes down, and the airfield is undamaged. 2-4 means we ignore the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd hits on the factory.
Rolls: 1@4; Total Hits: 11@4: (3)
-
OK. The Factory takes one less hit, but it’s still at max damage. I’ll do a quick edit and get the thing up again.

Well, I’m off to bed. Gotta give my next move some real thought. Night (or whatever it is where you are). :)
-
OK, I think I saw a few questions that I need to answer
- Maximum damage on a medium complex is 10, yes
- Flying tigers can be used against SBR, yes
- Attacker always chooses casualties from flying tiger hits. They cannot be targeted by the defender the way kamikazes are
- Triple A doesn’t do SBR correctly against multiple facilities because it fires all AA at once. It looked like one of you knew that and I trust it has been resolved satisfactorily
Flying tiger dice would be rolled with the air battle in the case of SBR. If no interceptors are sent up, then it would just be flying tiger dice.
I think flying tigers should hit on a “1” like interceptors and not on a “2” like kamikazes. Maybe have 6-8 chits. What do you guys think? -

Yes, and from a purely gameplay perspective, I think they need to hit at 2, or else they become irrelevant. At 2, they’re scary - you have to factor them into your attack plans. At 1, who cares? Maybe all five will hit one plane, maybe not. Pointless. And anytime you have to stop the action to ask something of your opponent, it should be something that meaningfully affects the game.

6 chits would be better then 5. It would make them equal to the kamikaze chits and then each chit would represent 10 planes. Seems fair.
I am buying 4 transports, not 3. Also declared war upon South America and Spain.
