Wow! What luck - I did not expect to hold that.
Then again, I thought things would go better for me in the Atlantic, so I guess it all evens out.
Maths of desperation, mate! 6 artillery is of more use to me than 2 tanks are to you and if I’d won then you’d have killed the Russian survivors in a counterattack - so I sallied out and ran away at the last moment :)
To be honest I suspect you’ve got this game in the bag now as I screwed up Russia earlier on and have been a bit seesaw with USA. Still, not out just yet and I think this game has massively helped my UK play!
I’m pretty sure that as long as I ply it safe, I’ve got this game locked down too. The USA will eventually be able to either have a real prescence in the Pacific or mount a major invasion, but it won’t be for 3-4 turns at least. And once they do, they’ll be staring down the barrel of some major defenses.
Africa and India will fall within a turn or two, as will Russia.
If you want to stop here, that’s fine with me. I feel that, if anything, this game has shown that the Allies really need that bid to be competitive. Your UK play was top notch - that trick with getting the Ruskie into Italian Africa was especially neat. But without a bid, it’s just not enough, sadly.
