SHAPEWAYS Units

There is a golf Tee system used by one of the players here in Toronto. Met him at YG’s Tourney this year. Pretty cheap. Two tees of the same colour. One goes in country of origin, and the other goes into the battle territory. Just need to paint a few sets of Tees different colours, or use ones that are already coloured. Worked out nicely. If they are small enough, they aren’t very intrusive at all.

Any possibillty to share the stl files?
I have access to a really nice DLP printer and would love to print them.

I visit that website a lot. They have a lot of cool stuff and I check it once a month hoping France gets French units.

Been a while since I painted but I got the psycho paint brush and all of the Japanese units I wanted from HBG so now I will begin my goal of finishing the Japanese Air Force. Here is how I will be painting the Tony fighters. It was my first attempt at this level of detail and it will take some fine tuning but I am happy with the first one.

I’ve always had a problem with HBG’s “orange” Japanese units not being of the same tone of orange from OOB A&A… most other colors of custom HBG units seem to match pretty good, but that orange always seemed off to me… so much so I’ve never kept a custom HBG Japanese unit in my nation bins… sad, cuz I really like some of them.

(and yes, I’m one of those anal-retentive guys where if the color is just off a tad, it “ruins” it for me… I know I’m odd that way).

…for the picture-posting procedure I copied below.  I don’t know the minimum number of posts needed for the attachment feature to become available, but I think it’s around 10 to 15.

At the bottom of the posting screen, click “Additional Options…”.  Use the “Browse” button next to the Attach window to find in your computer’s file directory the picture you want to load.  Click on “(more attachments)” if you want to load more than one picture.  Maximum attachment size allowed: 256 KB, per post: 3.

Nice work! I agree with your opinion on simular colors, and applaud your work. IMHO whenever you make a change, however big or small, that makes it easier, better looking, or more fun for you I think you’ve done something worthwhile!
