How Many People Use the Two-hit BB in A&A?

Yeah I have read that thread. I use to read TripleA forum. I actually made one small contribution to tripleA. In the last or the second last release there is my alias. So cool.

No it wasn’t AI. It was just allowing one sea zone to be connected to more than one canal. This is essential for mappers who wanted black sea canal.

But until we improve the engine…support for AI, house rules or even just “standard” games like LHTR, AAP, AAE, etc will not be straight forward.

I guess we can’t even do my “Buy one destroyer for every enemy ship” if the engine doesn’t even let you see the world.

The one you will find in stores now, made by Avalon Hill is the revised map, with some rule changes.  Arguably, a more difficult game due to additional pieces, more territories, and greater options for strategies, etc.

The older version (the Milton Bradley one) is the classic, and has a nice sized game board.  If you have never played before, the older version is easier to learn on.

Personally, I am just hoping for a PC version of Revised and the D-Day/Pacific variants with some really good AI in the near future :-)

I know this is an old old thread, but being a new guy on the board I’m still curious: how many players do you usually have at the table per game? Or are you playing mostly one-on-one TripleA?

Our group is lucky enough to do a full table of 5-6 players once every month or two, with varying skill levels throughout. I think that might be exceptional?

Why would anyone leave Causasus (or any other buffer zone) 100% empty and allow a blitz to Russia? Even ONE IF will cause ANY German advance to stop in Caucasus (sp?)…

Thanks for the info! Yeah I also suspected maybe the download link went bust after .mac turned into a pay site. I like your thinking with your awesome offer to host the existing alpha version again though. Hmm, I wonder why the author didn’t just go oh cool… here ya go. Well hopefully someone that snagged that alpha download will peek in here yet… hopefully. If you have the ability and desire to host… we really need to get you a copy of that file somehow! The website states the Mac version sports over 75 different units… 75! Yes, this I have to see and play. Anyway, I really appreciate your follow-up. Sounds good, but I’d like to request that you get AIM or MSN MEssenger so that I can talk to you in real time about it and so that maybe I can try it by telling you my moves and you could play them out for me.

The site is a mess and difficult to steer through. I’ve tried it multiple times. Every time I get lost and find a headache. :o :-? :roll: :cry:
