Manchuria and Kiangsu are Chinese territories.” hopefully that clarifies this? USING TRIPLE A, click the tab on the right labeled Territory. Put the cursor over KIA etc and the game tells you who the original owner of the territory was, in this case JPN.

Jim: Thanks for the clarification on where Major ICs can be built by Japan and where to find this information in triplea. The rule in the written rulebook is ambiguous. As written, “original territory” could be interpreted either as “possessed at the beginning of the game” or historically–specifically–before 1931, when Japan invaded Manchuria. It would help novices if the written rule book were more specific.
I made a couple of minor edits in the Japanese-7 non-com move, which I reposted.
