That’s right
And within SBR’s you can go in any order,
Within amphibious assaults, you can go in any order
And then in all other combat, you can go in any order -
I ran into an issue in my game against Entek: www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=32956.0
Japan conquered India and took West India the next round. Remember, West India originally belongs to Uk Pacific.
I liberated West India with British troops, but India still is under Japanese control. In TripleA, West India is shown as “owned by Uk Pacific”, but I think it should be British now, right?
I was not able to place a harbour there and I didn’t get the 2 IPC either, I had to edit both.
Is this a tripleA mistake or am I wrong?
-
You are wrong. UK Europe cannot take control of ANY originally UK Pacific territories, including West India. The 2 IPC income will not be collected by London either. Other allies can take control of West India and build facilities there, but London cannot. The converse is also true, India cannot take control of European UK territories when London has fallen and liberating it from the Axis.
-
Why is this rule in effect? Isn’t it very confusing? And I don’t see the sense in that…
-
It’s not confusing once you know it
As to why, you have to ask the writers of the rule book -
To be clear, UK forces can liberate UK-Pacific territories, but they will not collect income or be able to build facilities there.
It is possible for France to take control of West India or Malaya or Hong Kong and build facilities there, but London never can. :-) -
If you are unable to post your game moves, it’s because the site’s upload folder is full.
Everyone has the same problem.
To continue playing your league games, you can just save the game from TripleA, and get the file to your opponent(like by e-mailing it as an attachment, or through an internet file sharing site or something. Or save it on a thumb drive and send it by carrier pigeon - whatever works)
Don’t let this little hiccup slow down the league play!! :-D
-
I’m told you can upload files again (can post TripleA moves to the forum)
-
We need to include an official rule on what to do if the website’s upload folder is full for next year’s league, Gamer.
-
Right. Storm Dave Jensen’s house with pitchforks and torches.

Is there a way to prohibit Boldfresh from posting in other peoples games. He is very annoying and detracts from game play.
-
No, but you can try asking him
-
Agreed, tact is usually the best solution.
However, I would ask all players to refrain from posting in other player’s game threads unless asked to do so. Just as common courtesy.

best way to do it is to NOT be a raging hypocrite. :-P

No, but you can try asking him
Boldfresh is completely harmless. He VERY subtly and kindly points out different aspects of double standards and potential hypocrisy, so there is no need to “prohibit” one of the most passionate players on here from showing his wonderful smile every once in a while :)

I completely disagree ;) This is the open internet, and the entire forum and all of the games are open by choice. By playing online on a forum like this you’ve “signed” a waiver, giving up your game’s need for “privacy”. Those that want to have games where only they can comment can PBEM like we used to back in the day ;) Then we would actually have to hack into accounts in order to follow and comment, so only those who are REALLY desperate to do so would do it.
;)

I wrote my post BEFORE you posted this ;) lol

in all truth infra, i would rather say it gently right to your face that i felt you were being inconsistent - bmnielson clearly intended to DOW with France, exactly as you had. you had some extremely strong words against one of the most honorable players to ever play the game (arathorn) and i think it would have behooved you, after that whole upset, to do what you had so strongly advocated that arathorn should have done. but that’s just my two cents, for your own good, truly.
i really am not trying to be mean or underhanded in any way, and i’ve enjoyed our current game quite a lot. i enjoy playing you, but i would prefer to comment directly in your game thread rather than elsewhere. if you would rather i state it elsewhere just let me know.
cheers, and happy gaming.
-
I did say tact. I did not say you were in violation of rules. But common courtesy would say it is kind of rude to but into a game between two players, whether it is in central park or on the forums.
-
I agree with arathorn.
Sorry, Jen, but I simply cannot see any rudeness in posting in other peoples game thread.
Both players still have the option not to answer, so it doesn’t affect the gameplay at all, as Infrastructure as stated. At least, I cannot immagine how it influences any turns.

If you look at the games in question you will see more than a couple glaring differences in the scenarios. I will now gladly go back to france’s turn if bmnielson wants to. Im not sure he does as he might be in a better postion after my move. He is set up to make it so india will easily never fall again. I waffled on wether or not to do it for strategy’s sake.
BOLDFRESH, can you please not write posts on any of my other games?
I will finish my game with you of course.Since I seem to be in the hot seat here and do not consider myself in the wrong, perhaps I need to find another place to play.
To those of you that have been wonderful opponents thanks for the games!
