Sad but true

I think the league rules need to be changed so that either player may resign at the end of the first round without it counting.
Sounds like a great idea for 2 seconds, and then I realize this means everyone could just take all kinds of wild risks in round 1 with impunity. Horrible idea. :-)
Unless you demand that both players have to agree to it up front.

Rumor has it you’re cooking up an Allied win or 2? :-o

I have three that I would describe as “not losing” … that’s as confident as I get with the Allied
Not clear that any of them will conclude this season though.

I think the league rules need to be changed so that either player may resign at the end of the first round without it counting. This games has too many set battles the first turn so that if the German air force gets shot down or the UK is killed, the game is already lost the first round.
I think it is ok the way it is. Luck is a relevant part to keep the game interesting and to make players also play better players than they are because there is actually a chance unlike in e.g. chess.
the tier-system showed that in the big majority of the games the better player wins, those outliers imo spice the game up.
-
And almost forgot: The way low luck influences the game has imo major strategic impact on not only single decisions but entire game plans.
So I think low luck etc. is fine, it is just a different game then. -

Hey all!
I am in Vancouver and ran into Gargantua. He and I are set to play G40 face to face today! The bid is set at 9. We are going to flip for sides. I will let you know who wins!
Since Garg is not in the 14 League, I know it won’t count. But thought I would mention it anyway. He schooled me in a game of 1914 a few days ago. So I am not so sure how long I will hold up under his G40 skills.

Whoever gets Axis should win, Karl :-P

Autocorrect strikes again?

I will say this, playing on an actual board instead of a tiny screen will make it easier to avoid strategic mistakes……

I will say this, playing on an actual board instead of a tiny screen will make it easier to avoid strategic mistakes……
Careful…. it’s harder for me.
-
I also think it’s much easier to play well on the computer, because on the game board the pieces are all different sizes and you have chips for 5’s and 1’s. Easier for me to see only 1 unit type in a territory with a number by it…
Have fun!!

Mostly I meant that on a board you can see the whole map at once, which given I play triple a on a labtop can be frustrating.
