London isn’t the game! Just ask Karl, I took London and STILL lost. It can happen. But thanks for the win, i suppose.

Wackamatt over PGMatt again…2 for 2 in our simo series, so good fortune and play to him!

Although I can see many turns of slogging, the Axis will ultimately beat the Allies through economic power, military power, board position, and generally “the US cannot win a war on two fronts all by itself”.
Good game(s) by Wack!

He played well and the dice were with him in critical battles.

Great answer, Karl
Arathorn, I think variance could be rightly offended by your question…
Perhaps you didn’t think about how it might sound to him? Just trying to help. :-) -
No offense intended. I have not kept up to date with the latest events.
I was just surprised, because last time I checked, variance had 4 straight losses, and I wondered how he could beat Karl.
I now realise that after the first 4 losses, variance is at 4-3 for a total of 4-7. So it is an improving curve.
I stand corrected.
This was all I had seen when I made the comment:

Thanks for the clarification :-)
I’ve gotten in trouble so many times myself when I meant something as a compliment that I later learned could be taken as an insult :-)
After all, the other half of your comment is a compliment to Karl - that you consider him a good player and were therefore surprised :-)

Well it is an upset anytime a tier 4 type beats a tier 2 guy. I did have 4 straight losses against good players after returning from a 4 month break, but I’m starting to learn from my mistakes. :-)

yeah, the German bombing raids on Moscow were the break you needed in our game. The dice broke your way and it was down hill from there…
-
yeah the dice were really strong for me.
