My first low-luck game went terrible - just terrible.
Take note, Roboto, Arathorn, and anyone else considering “low luck”
Would hate to be playing a LL game and have the other guy get all the die roll hits while I don’t
(No idea what happened in your game - I didn’t look) -
I don’t think he meant “terrible” as in “terrible dice”. I think he meant that he was just having no chance at all from turn 1.

exactly. when facing a significantly better opponent, there isn’t even a chance. although there’s more of a chance than facing a better opponent that is ALSO typically charmed with the dice in full luck games

Seems he had the wrong side, too. Axis is strong and in position at game start, and has the large battles that need to be won without disaster. LL would seem to favor Axis heavily. No chance of losing France, no big bad surprises when sinking UK fleet, etc. Maybe this game was lost before G1 started.

indeed allies may need a much larger bid in lowluck.
-
And then there’s big attacks by Germans on Russians - Moscow or earlier. If the Germans can be assured of winning when they have 60-70% odds or whatever, that is a HUGE advantage for the Axis.
LL bid for Allies should be much higher than 12.

If the Allies are relegated to 1 unit/terr or sz, would it look something like +30? It’s tricky, because a stack in France when the bids in the mid 20s could have an interesting domino effect.

I got diced HARD in G1, and was sadly never able to recover. Watch out, folks. I think JuanSpain is a new rising star of the League. His strategies are airtight.

Thank you Sir, a couple of good games with you, well played by yourself too. May be the only mistake was with Japan factories with no blockage, could have been your game if we remove that action.
My strategy is not one of the best as it is shown in the rankings, but at least it is invented and re-engineered by me.

Yeah, SouL, 1 unit per territory toggle would be a major factor, good point
