Well it is an upset anytime a tier 4 type beats a tier 2 guy. I did have 4 straight losses against good players after returning from a 4 month break, but I’m starting to learn from my mistakes. :-)

I conquered all of Europe and Africa at one point but alas I blew it, so we finished this game with an AWESOME battle of Armageddon

Gamer, suggestion. do you think it would be safe to say the top 5 by ppg from the league the previous year could be given credit for being tier 1 right out of the gate in the following season? i’m carrying a goose-egg for losing to AWN for example. if AWN were to take the rest of the year off (unlikely i grant you) it would drag down my ppg unjustly in my opinion.

I’ll make it so that anyone who played 13+ games in 2013 will start with the same ranking until they hit 4 games. That will not eliminate the issue, but will greatly reduce it, while keeping subjectivity out
