Wizard of the coast is sending out additional playing pieces

Got mine yesterday. Lots of pieces and chips, and they packaged them in France and Germany setup boxes! :-D Just thought that was interesting.

A few have had them in England and I have been promised them to(England), so I am sure you will get yours.

Got my answer today! They are going to process my request and asked me about my Billing Address. Do you guys think i will have to expect any costs? I already gave them my shipping address…
I basically used a slightly modified version of the example shown on page 1.

Yeah I think its definitely worth a trip! Im going to visit England and Scotland in August;)

I’d just send the shipping address again. If you don’t want them to call or have your number, just make one up.

Still waiting on mine, it’s been three weeks so hopefully it will arrive by next weekend.
Great to see WotC doing this to make up for their mistake. I wonder what percent of their total sales are being “bonused up”?
I would put it at 30-40% max. Most are probably casual gamers who don’t visit game forums.

Maybe they had a lot of unsold copies remaining to raid for parts.

In the long term, I wonder if would’ve been more economical for them to include enough pieces in the box to begin with, even without upping the price.

Update:
Customer support said i can expect my new pieces in about 3-4 weeks. Not bad at all, i will let you guys know what i got;)

Still waiting on mine.  I asked for them first week of January.

Got mine last week I put in the request on Dec 8th. I hope in the future this doesn’t happen again. Think of the time and manpower that was wasted fixing this when had they added a few more pieces. At least they made it right. I just wonder if this game will get a 2nd edition. I like the way it works I think the tournament rules are great. Played it 3 weeks ago with the guys looking forward to the next game.

Got mine today. Requested it around Jan 1st. Came in two set up boxes. Mostly the same list as has been posted. Missing one US tank but that is fine.
Seems to me they are butchering games to fill these requests. Doesn’t bode well for a reprint as they will have surplus of everything except units and chips.
Really glad they stepped up to correct an obvious problem.

I’ve noticed some are getting their units either very quick or very slow. It took weeks to get mine and I don’t live far from Renton, WA.

In any case I encourage everyone who bought this game to get your pieces. It’s nothing more than sending an email and having a bit of patience.

You bought the game you may as well get your monies’ worth LOL!

Apart from units and chips its just paper and a few dice.

But you have to laugh (a bit) at people who shelled out for a few extra official units at HBG. I’ll wait 'till they produce some bombers and airships.

Wizards sent me a new KIA which i promptly sent to recycling. Yield was about $50 bucks net. Thanks Wizards!

I don’t understand what you’re getting at IL. The game was short pieces and if WOTC is doing something to rectify this. I think people should request more pieces.

A lot of game reviewers whom have no specific focus on Axis & Allies, have commented on the lack of units and chips in 1914 as well as several other complaints regularly shared on this site. This game is expensive and other gamers have noticed it, not just A&A fans. At the cost of this game it should be complete, the people at WOTC I talked to even said so themselves. I don’t think this is some “Give me something for free” issue. WOTC knows it and is trying to fix it.
So, I’m not sure how to take your posts my friend.
