@general-6-stars looking good!
Should Imperious make a map for this?
-
That size will be fine IMO :-D Can’t wait to have it printed out.
-
I would love it if you did this map. You think you will?
-
Need more support for this. Not making it unless many people want it. It takes many hours to do this and i wouldn’t even print out my own copy, so this would be a utilitarian gift.
-
I’d be very interested in this. Though, as this would be my first giant map, can anyone tell me the best way to print it out for use? :|
-
AAA flag and banner. All done via internet. They mail in a tube and no gimmicks
I just need more than say 30 people to say “make this”
100+ hours of my time won’t go wasted then. Also, to motivate me get me a great scan of the 2nd edition map so i can trace it.
-
I would definitely print it out. All of my A&A maps are SUPER-SIZED! :)
-
I don’t have my board any more, but there is a picture of the board in the rules, which can be found here
www dot axisandallies dot org/resources-downloads/
it may not be high enough res for your purposes… I tried…
-
I would love this map! I specifically got on here today to see if there was one available…
-
I would print it :-D
Already have your spring42 map and 50th both supersized.
-
I would also print it.
The printing service mentioned above, will they also ship to Denmark?
-
I would also like to print it.
To whom it may concern: I know a manufacturer in germany, printing those maps in a high quality (blockout banner, 720 dpi eco solvent print) for low costs (e.g. for AA1942 first edition 162cm x 86cm, 42 Euros plus 22 Euros for shipping).
-
Just get me a good scan head on without distortion. A good large Picture could work, note the one on this site wont work. Just help me out and i can do the rest… kinda lazy but once i get going, it is a firestorm.
-
@Imperious: I`m not in on the scanning thing, but I tend to give an order to a copy shop to scan the map. Afterwards I would load the file up or, if possible, send it to you. Are there any recommendations concerning file format or size or scanning parameters?
-
Well if you do it i can guarantee that i make a map from it.
The scan or picture must be head on, no angles just drop down view and good lighting. For a poor example, check out Djensens picture of 42.2 from this site. A good example would be his picture of 1914. I drew my map from it.
Do it and you guys got the map. I can try to finish before Christmas.
-
I’m late to the party. But throwing my vote yes please on this…
(I was one of those who bugged you about this!) - Can’t wait!
-
@ imperious: right now I’m searching for a scan/copy shop, able to scan an unflexible paperboard in a size of DIN A0. Till now, I found only one shop in Hamburg, unfortunately, they can print the map at the earliest on January, 6th. So, it looks like that we won’t receive an additional christmas gift (:-().The format of the scan file will be “*.TIFF”, resolution 300dpi - would this fit the requirements for you?
-
yes that works, but you know if you scanned the map as a PDF or PNG you would do much better.
-
Do I understand this correctly - a PDF- or a PNG-file would work better as a TIFF-file? Or do you mean, if I scanned in PDF or PNG I would need a higher resolution as 300 dpi?
-
TIFF is like JPEG, which this format causes image to pixelate. PDF or PNG not. No TIFF file- instead PDF or PNG
-
@ IL: I’ve sent you a personal message concerning the actual development.
