Well, that’s it. You got your 8 VC’s in Europe. Can’t take Egypt back. Going to concede. Congrats! Good game. I think I’ve got what I wanted out of these games. It’s pretty obvious to me that this game is still broken, using the strategies you’ve used. And in favor of the Axis w/out a larger bid from the Allies. Against other opponents I can see the Allies winning but not against the strategies you’ve used, which has been pretty consistent across the 3 or 4 variations that have been played out.
#1 - KGF - Moving the Allied fleet into the Med helps keep Italy neutered, along w/a Sub fleet for economic warfare. The Allies can build minor IC’s in Egypt and Iraq but still not able to keep Russia in the game, even w/FTR support from the Allies. After Russia falls, Germany swings it’s forces into the Med and Japan just gets out of control.
#2 -KGF - Taking Norway and swinging FTR’s into Russia seems to be a better strategy. Neuters Germany a little bit more by taking the Norway/Denmark NO away. Keeps Russia in the game longer but the Allies still can’t keep Russia in the game. Tried taking out the Neutrals but the US has to focus all it’s IPC’s into building units in the multiple minor IC’s on the board(i.e. Norway, Finland, Spain, etc…). Russia still falls and Japan still gets out of control.
#3 - KJF - Less pressure on Germany and Italy. Russia falls even quicker. The US has more IPC’s but still can’t take Japan out.
I see on the League board that most wins are Axis. Seems to me that a larger bid is necessary for the Allies to win, using the Axis strategy that you used. :-( :-o :? :lol: :x :-P :oops: :cry: :roll: :|

I’d agree with points one and two, but I don’t feel like you got a chance at a true KJF. The Russians need to be more involved on the pacific side and a lot less aggressive in Europe. If Russia hadn’t pushed for Norway they could’ve stalled Germany much longer. Also, I feel like the US shouldn’t even buy transports in the Pacific. That is personally my preference for allied strategies and I feel it works fairly well (with an 11 bid that is).

No rush, whenever you get time. I’d like 1 inf in New Guinea, 1 inf in British Guiana, 1 art in Sudan and the remaining IPC to Russia.
I got pretty burned out back in August and still really don’t feel up for competitive play, so I declined the spot. Might get back into it later next year.
