Guys, I’ve wanted to take down the Halifax Rules thread as a sticky for some time now, but members have protested in the past against it. The fact that I started the thread, the fact that I was the last to comment on it almost 2 years ago, and that there is another thread with over 100 pages that can easily act as a replacement… I feel that it’s time to unsticky it.

It will always be in the data bank if you want to search it…

Yep.
The first combat round only with 1:1 basis between TacB and Tank makes it more manageable.
After first combat round, there is no need to remember how many hits remains.
Seems fine and workable.

Since my little playtests showed me that less combined arms makes for faster combat, it is the limit I would go with TacB and Tank.

According to my own TcB A3 D2 houseruled, it acts like a Tankbuster because it allows to select any ground casualty (useful to get ride of enemy’s Tank). It works well too.

If there’s an Axis & Allies game that needs solid house rules… it’s definitely 1914.

GODLEADER, what version are you talking about because we are talking about 1942.2

Good post Black_Elk, also what do you use against allied fighters that destroy your transports because destroyers sometimes don’t always defend them.

Basically I have two kinds of players I play A&A with. For casual player and family I can con into playing A&A with during the holidays, it’s all about simplicity. When I can get an A&A junkie like myself and one of my brothers playing, we can do complicated HRs. For that middle ground game I use a little of both. Frankly most games I get in, because I only play FTF, are Revised and Classic with 42.2 coming in distant 3rd place. Global with “Toblerone’s House Rules” is solo and experimental.

Making oil barrels?

Why not just paint some capacitors?
That way, you can get them in any color and size you want, and they are really cheap :)

The oil concept seems cool will test it next time i have the chance….

The game starts in june 1940, so germany would attack russia on G2, and japan would attack on J3.

(the map reflects the situation in june 1940, low countries are defeated but paris has not been taken yet)
