are you sure about rerolling?Stalingradski and I have just come up with a new semi-lowluck method.
If a roll has a variance of 30ipcs from results on the battle calc the country involved can lose the next 10ipcs it would collect to roll the battle with standard lowluck. We both think this will be what we stick with for every game we play together, which is a lot…
Maybe we could work toward this as a solution…
I’ve already had one this game and it was a long time ago, so I would deduct 30ipcs from japan to compensate for the effect that 10ipcs has had for 10turns or so and deduct 10ipcs from germany and reroll the current battle with lowluck?Sorry if that sounds complicated, but I’ve enjoyed playing with you and this might set precedence for our future games as well… …it will benefit you eventually. :-D

You can reroll that last round in LL if you want and then continue from there. But I definitely am not cool with going the route you mentioned as this wasn’t discussed prior and I don’t know you well enough to know what you’d have done if the shoe was on the other foot.

ok. all I can do is say thanks. I wasn’t trying to put you in a bad place, I promise. Stal and I have been trying to come up with a lowluck variant for awhile that doesn’t mess up the game but does take away the freak occurences. We think we’ve found it in that +30ipc-reroll-lowluck-costs-you-10 variant, so I was trying to use it with you in some fair way mid game. You have been a very ood and understanding opponent, so no problems doin’ it your method!
I didn’t mention the extra 2 that you rolled that may have hit one of my ftrs, but i will consider that small pay for rerolling that insane round.

This is definitely going to be a game changer. I’m against the ropes now after a battle that was 85%. This battle would constitute over a hundred ipc unit shift due to luck, as well as give you the atlantic on a silver platter. I’ll keep trying though, even though you have a couple rerolls coming your way now.
