Oztea's 1941 Global Setup

I figure there aren’t too many things classified as Islands that would have air bases so far away as to make them invulnerable to shore bombardment. The air fields on Guadalcanal and Wake island certainly got hit and both Hickam and Pearl could be hit from the sea. By definition, this ability assumes no defenders. Even a single scrambling fighter or defending destroyer nullifies the ability.

Makes sense Charles DG.  General HG uses armored cars as artillery scouts.  Could do something similar.

@seancb Read all of it, very nice :) I always wanted to make “events” for A&A games but it makes the games much more complicated. I will have to reformat everything and print it neatly so everyone can understand the rules and what they roll :grin:

And instead of giving the US an extra $10 for having the Philipines and Hawaii, they should start off with $10 extra and lose $10 due to a massive loss of morale when they lose them. A penalty as suppose to a reward. The loss of morale can truly result in a loss of production. That would make it more realistic.

I am probably going to post this topic in another section. I would like to build more support for this for any future revisions to the rules.

Advanced Fighter Design. Great Idea in air combat, but your making a fighter stronger than your med. bomber in ground attack and as strong as a regular bomber in ground attack. Fighters should not have the same ability to inflict damage to ground and naval targets as a strat bomber or tac bomber, IMO

yep. make them 3-4-5-14 w/ the special escort/intercept. or 3-4-4-12.

This is what we use for V2 rockets

V2 Rockets
Cost 2 IPCs. They are produced at IC’s and move two (transported by train/truck). They are used at your AA guns in place of your normal rocket attack; they are immune to AA flyover fire and AA fire in targeted territory, due to their sub orbital attack and being faster than the speed of sound on approach. Range is still the same (3). Roll two dice and choose the better dice of the two. Can only move in combat movement phase if movement results in its being used at an AA gun location for a rocket attack. Are otherwise considered as non combat vehicles on defense and may be targeted by attacking tactical bombers.

Thats not too hard to model.
Just let fighters defend SBRs.

We’ll already made production capacity more realistic but limiting IPCs spent at an IC rather than no. of units.
So maybe SBR should destroy IPCs as well as reduce production capacitiy.

Actually, what if we purchase at the END of your turn, and pick which ICs to build them with. At the beginning of your turn some of the units may be destroyed while building and you never got to use them.  :-D Thats pretty cool on the timeline.
