Congrats on the winners. Good play from both sides.
There isn’t such thing as good luck across several games (with the number of independent rolls impacting the games, that’s impossible). Cow’s approach makes me think of a poker book I read. A little more risky / loose play to keep your opponents on their toes, but always keep an out to limit the damage. By acknowledging / promoting his own luck, maybe Cow is gaining an advantage since their opponents will be more cautious and think about odds more conservatively?
Keep worshiping the coward omega… we will see how he does in the finals. It is very much possible to have an incredible luck streak and he has. Obviously you arent really looking too deep into his games…
Do you even play the game? If so I would like to offer you a league game.
Cheers
Worship is too strong, but gotta give Cow some credit (as I do give you a lot of credit).
I play the game, but I find the amount of time needed to play strong players online is huge and isn’t worth the reward. Looking at the higher caliber games, it’s clear that you have to plan several moves ahead and think of the counter while simulating several battles based on a number of different actions and expected responses. In these cases, the winner depend not only on skill / experience / luck, but also the sheer amount of time and testing that is done on each side. I can’t compete with that level of investment of time and thinking and the resulting ROI is too low.
I have one League game ongoing with Wheatbeer and I got busy and bored (not sure if I’ll even finish it). For the time being, I’m back to playing casual table top games and picking up ideas on this site.
