G6 Russia.

Everyone gets hit with the G6 from time to time.

We took a long time mulling over Italy’s turn, because we were debating to G6 you guys or not.

After seeing the fighter go down and the big damage come up from Italy’s bomber… that changed everything.

We was going to go G8 Russia, with similar odds… decided to go for it now.

We get Russia Germany will win this game. Even if we do not get Russia, we will get India before those air units make it back.

This how Operation Barbarossa should have gone down.

we were planning the G7 india hit + G8 moscow hit, hence the purchase of 2x dd with italy.  we would get one of those capitals for sure, and the other capital at 75% odds or better.

but after the loss of that fighter, we decided to go with a G6 hit on moscow, cus depending on the result of the german bombing we would have a minimum of 70% (loss of both bombers to snake eyes) to 99% with great bombing and a suicide hit with italy

right now we are looking at 93% - 99%, depending on what you guys do

i’m sorry for the luck.  the dice probabilities are still within a standard deviation or two, but their results have still been bad for you guys simply because not too many dice have been thrown so the weight of a couple dice has an large impact.

unless you have some trick up your sleeve, or can bet on 1-7% odds with moscow, then i think this is gameover

i will say that i like your strategy with the allies in general.  i generally have no clue on what to do with allies, so its nice to see something different from them.
i think that losing the bomber with russia on a suicide attack, and not taking iraq with russia were mistakes.
switching from anti-japan to anti-italy with usa is a costly affair, that may have set you back by a whole round.
i also think that anzac should do more in games, and so far it has done absolutely nothing. we normally build transports and stuff to contest islands and generally annoy japan

i think with some refinements, and maybe fewer risks, i think this could be a good allied strategy

Or take the Round 1 mech you bought and do what it is intended to do and harass Japan with it.

I was surprised to see more mech and a fighter purchase from Russia… Russia air in India… is kind of backwards.

It is not over yet. Still have to win at Russia.

gnite I will be on tomorrow sometime. I am glad things turned out this way so far and I hope Russia goes down smooth. That way it is a quick game and we can just chill for the next 5 months.

i’m not going to say we have a better strategy. 
we have made some mistakes, and so have you. 
if the luck was even, i still think we would win eventually, but more because i think the game is not balanced with a 9 bid for allies. 
we’d probably be pretty even right now, though in the long run i still don’t see how you could hold both moscow and india at the same time.  and if i went the route of going for a g8 take, i would have also turned europe into a fortress, so even though you would eventually kill italy’s fleet, you wouldn’t be taking italy or holding france or the balkans.

and yes, i must be missing something.  i’m calling your bluff.  what is this masterful trick you’ve been hinting at since day 1?

Try 70%.  Don’t forget the Russian air in India. Yes, I know traditionally it is 6 spaces, but…
