it’s all cool with me, i love to pursue the badge of honor of winning a game despite the dice thwarting our every move… and it could not be more true than it is now. :-D. you guys are the only ones with something to lose in this one. if we lose, it’s obvious we were simply run over by dice (can anyone say atlanta axis??) but if we win, cow will probably be laughed off the site for losing with the best dice imaginable. i LOVE IT.

veq, i’m sorry if you think there was no reason to send up a ftr that had even odds on your bomber and that could have prevented the loss of 2 russian infantry due to the bombing raid. if i were you i would just be happy about the luck, but if this is some attempt to taunt then at least own it.

correct, but low luck players also try to avoid battles where the low luck plays no part.
in a game where you take lots of little but very profound risks, it is very very easy to have a single die come up the wrong way, effectively destroying your plans.
i would not have risked the fighter because while the upside is possibly stopping the effective bombing away of 2 russian infantry, the downside is possibly losing moscow completely. not a risk i would be willing to take.
I have no problem winning or losing a game on luck. It tends to happen, especially when the axis are putting out a high volume of attacks every round.
Veqryn has traditionally had bad luck in our games. I actually thought his bomber would get shot down on his first bombing run attempt. It got two bombing runs for good damage and a fighter, this is great!

as everyone who knows anything about this game knows, the early luck is magnified so much more and i’ve never seen so much EVER! so boy is it going to be embarrassing when you lose. :-D

cow, if you are cheating, you are only hurting yourself. :lol:
you are on a truly epic string of luck, regardless of what veq seems to be trying to justify to himself. if you win this, i highly recommend investing your winnings into some lottery tickets, since you have a better chance of winning the lottery than you did to win this game. :wink:
how bad would you strategy have to be to lose when you have a 100 bid with the axis?
I had better and worse luck early on in a game.
So far in this tournament most my luck came late in the game rather than early. If I have to be lucky to win, so be it. I am playing the game the way Larry Harris designed the game to be played. He wanted people to attack, roll some dice, and have fun.
Plus I am used to playing live games. No save game. Cannot wait and think too long about every turn or the game ends before a conclusion. My strategy guides are designed to set the axis up for attacks and to aggressively expand… I do not have long games, my games end before that can occur.

You should have given us the allies @ 11 especially if you wanted to play a longer and more conservative game.
you’re obviously not reading what I am writing. I’m actually quite happy that you have gotten a significant lead in this game because you’re going to need every single bit of it.
in addition there is no better way to prove one strategy better than another then one one side is getting great dice and still loses.
I am so glad Japan’s bombers can reach Russia. Going to pay Russia back for defending India, you can munch on that.
We are going to win this in 10-12 rounds or bust. The strategy has not changed. We bring the fight to you.
