X-DAP-05 TeamBoldDutch vs. DairyQryn

ya, russian bomber, and 2nd edition rules (aka: minus inf in egypt, no yukon territory, korea included in the rules about mongolia)

  • TripleA

Yes, there has to be a russian bomber, that is part of garg’s tournament thing. No getting around that.

  • TripleA

bid ipc can be spent in any controlled territory, or sea zone already containing a ship, for whatever unit that power can purchase.

both sides must agree if they are going to use a bid, before bidding starts.
if one side does not want to bid you can roll for sides using the dice server.
you can not start bidding and then ask for a coin flip to determine sides if you do not like the outcome of the bid.

if all players agree you can restrict bids.

  • TripleA

    Thanks allweneedislove

So agree to restrict bids or I will roll for sides.

  • Customizer

he already did cow, in his last reply

  • TripleA

Allies still get a bomber when someone flips sides.

Veqryn, perhaps I should leave this to you.

  • TripleA

Seems like we cannot come to terms, our bid/rules is not accepted, just roll sides then. I do not care. Dice is fair.

We agree to bid per the 1 unit per location rule proposed.  You bid 11.  We will be responding shortly.  Since veq cant play for some time anyway apparently then there is no fire so cool your jets cow.

  • Customizer

    @Veqryn:

typical bidding rules for all associations I know that play A&A, including triplea lobby and the war club:

no more than 1 unit per territory
    no bombers
units must go in land territories you own OR in sea zones or territories that contain sea units that you own

according to this, new guinea would be allowed

let them think for more than a minute……

the bid rules are the ones above in my quote, which bold has agreed to in his reply.

bidding has already started, cow bid 11

bold team may take their time to decide

we can all refrain from posting until bold has made a decision

  • '12

I would MUCH rather give u the allies at 11 than be stuck with them at 0…

  • '12

tell your prediction of the Ancients win prove to be false just like most of your other predictions hmmmm  :|

  • '12

Tell = cow to my voice recognition software.  guess that’s appropriate

  • TripleA

They had no balls for the whole game and when they did it was for something stupid. They weren’t playing to win, just playing to lose slowly.

After you talk with Dutch for like two whole pages, let me know your decision.

  • Liaison TripleA '11 '10

    Cow MUST lose this game.

And that said, as this is the semifinal for the top bracket, both parties must remember that RULE #7 can be used against unsportmanslike conduct!  (Albeit only once per side, + or - a single unit).

    Let’s HOPE it doesn’t come to that…

  • Customizer

    hm….

the officiator of the tournament says my team must die

and then reminds everyone he can give a game-changing unit to any side he wants

  • TripleA

I just want to play the game. I am not interested in talking to dutch or bold at all.

Bidding requires negotiation and yes I am not going to be a good sport about it. If they do not like playing with restricted bids then I rather not play with a bid.

That is my preference. The only thing that is fair on this forum are the dice, regardless of what numbers come up.

  • TripleA

The negotiation process is over, terms have been reached.

Now it is just numbers, yes/no, and quick scramble order statements.

May as well get this out of the way. I would like to play a strict game in which all editing must be for bugs or non combat movement, once a post is made it is done.

I have seen the way you guys play in your other games and I do not approve of it. In actual gameplay I am lenient, but you have proven yourselves otherwise. So I am not interested in trusting you at all. I may be a big smack talker, but if that is not your cup of tea fine I will not talk to you or deal with you at all.

I will just play and you will just play. That is that.

so you are saying that you do not want to allow ANY noncombat edits or are you just referring to combat?  as to you saying that we have proven ourselves to be otherwise, i assume you are referring only to the german bomber to midway issue, which is the only time we ever didn’t allow the ancients to change something?

  • '12

we can continue to hammer out the exact details for how the mechanics of this game will be handled, but in the meantime, BoldDutch puts forth a bid of 9 (+ bomber in moscow that is already included).

Both Bold and Dutch have a policy of allowing an unlimited number of noncombat edits prior to dice being rolled.  So this is how we would like to play it - let me know if you are suggesting otherwise.

I would also be for allowing unlimited changes to combat movements as long as no dice have yet been rolled on a turn - ie, i posted the combat moves then decided i wanted to change something before i have started to roll dice.  i consider a scramble or intercept decision that has been given to be the first “dice” of the turn - ie, i can’t post my combat move, ask for a scramble or intercept choice, then once it is given, go in and change the combat move.  i could however change the combat moves up until the scramble/intercept choice post is made by the decision maker.

let’s agree that either team member can make decisions/posts for the other’s powers if it should ever be deemed expedient and both teammates agree?  also let’s agree that we post the combat moves before rolling dice ALWAYS, ie standard practice - not just if there are scramble or intercept decisions.

    thoughts?

That seems very “unsportsmanlike” cow! lol…

But cow is also right in that -trust is earned-.  I bet if both parties play a fair game, both parties will also allow edits where necessary.  Probably in a “You gave me this, so I’ll give you that style”.  That’s where trust begins!

As for Moderator Rulings, the precedent is that dice rolling LOCKS-IN events.

LOL That’s why it’s call the tournament of EXTRA DEATH AND PAIN!!! :)

That said, all precendents are that the “unit” is introduced in completely-non-immediate effect to the game.
