Hi there,
Does anyone know if it is possible to play Axis & Allies Pacific online? Whether there are any plans to turn this game into a playable app for iPad/Steam?
Thanks
Greetings all,
I have searched the internet for an answer to this question but most of what I have found is ambiguous. I’m looking for a way to play a digital version of axis and allies a-synchronously, without having to send save files between players…. perhaps while hosting a server of some sort, where people can login in and play their turn whenever. It would be cool if this could be done with the 1998 version of the video game… I think tripleA might be able to do this, but documentation on the software seems to be lacking (or maybe my google-fu just sucks.
Anyway, thanks for your time!
The ways to play triplea are:
Online in the lobby server (real time)
PBEM - sending save files back and forth through e-mail
Play by forum- where you upload your save file to the forum
Play hotseat- or locally
Play vs. AI - not really intended for the AI to represent anything more than a minor country because it was coded back in revised days and doesn’t really know how to play the newer games.
triplea play-by-forum is what you are looking for
triplea play-by-forum is what you are looking for
That still involves sending the save file via the forum, correct? I think this guy wants something that doesn’t exist yet.
the way he said it:
no sending to players
send to a server
people log in, and play
triplea play by forum:
no sending to players
send to server (a&a.org)
people go to the thread, save the game, play it
seems exactly what he wants to me

Fair enough, thought he meant without saving files anywhere but in triplea.
