    I resign.  Clearly I forgot the simple opening move of keeping the scramblers available to cover the SZ110 fleet.  Since this isn’t a league game, I’m not interested in waiting around for this game to finish before I can start over with what I really wanted to do.  Since we’re talking about the first move of the game, I’m almost surprised you didn’t ask if I meant to do that, but of course as my opponent you have no obligation to do so.

    And…to be honest with you, after thinking about it, given that I have seen some weird things in my time - I thought for a moment that this was some sort of bait. I have seen people do this (not THIS particular move, but you know what I mean) in the past hoping I would do something because it seemed so obvious…

    That all being said - as you point out this is not a league game and is really just supposed to be fun for us and maybe a way to experiment (if we choose to). So - let’s move the game back to the end of Japan 1. Russia’s turn is not going to be affected either way by the update to the German setup - though, UK most certainly will.

    Take the J1 map, adjust the position of the German planes and we can continue on, if that is OK?

    I apologize for not saying something - normally I would - but, I honestly thought that maybe, just maybe, this was some sort of bait and switch that I hadn’t seen before. To be honest, I am glad it wasn’t - at least that means my instincts are still SOMEWHAT good - LOL

    Since I didn’t get asked for a scramble, I presume that the SZ97 attack didn’t happen, which was my actual trap…

    The eventual efficacy of said trap remains an open question!

    I just want to check, are you hoping to scramble in SZ109 and 110?  Since each Air Base can send up a maximum of only 3 Fighters that you have to split between each SZ you want to defend.

    Europe 2e page 16:

    In situations where a territory containing an Air base is adjacent to more than one SZ (United Kingdom and SZs 109 & 110, for example), the territory may still only scramble up to 3 Fighters and/or Tactical Bombers, but they may be split between in the SZs in any combination.

    I just want to make sure that because you piled up everything in London you’re not thinking you have all 6 Fighters available to scramble, it’s still just 3.
